Lang Lang at the Montreal OSM

Happy weekend everyone! Hope it’s been good to you. Friday night I got all dressed up with G and went to my very first piano recital. We saw Lang Lang, an incredibly expressive rock star pianist;  I was covered in goosebumps when he played my favorite Chopin piece. I’ve lived here for ten years without knowing that apparently Montreal has a vibrant and thriving classical music scene so it was kind of fun to go and infiltrate this funny little subculture I never knew existed.

Other goodness from the past week:

Typical. Esther from The Sticks gives us another stunning dress and photoshoot.

An adorable southwest inspired dress from Seamstress Erin.

I love this impeccably tailored fuchsia coat from Couture and Tricot.

Some cool, graphic tees from Incondite Le Grande.

More gorgeous designs from QuiltCon on Tales of a Stitcher.

Mad Mim reupholstered a rad little tub chair. One more skill to aim for….

This Wonky Log Cabin tutorial from Miss Make is making me eyeball my scrap piles.

I’m super obsessed with Broad City right now (seriously, one of the funniest things on TV, period) and loved reading this interview with the costume designer since the clothing is always so spot on.

My eyeballs exploded when I saw these trippy cartoon bags. I’m still not convinced they’re not photoshopped…
