Vogue V1501 // Closet Core Patterns

Happy Sunday makers! I spent a glorious weekend doing some personal sewing in the studio. I got organized and wrote up a spring sewing plan after doing my personal style analysis, and got a few projects cut out and ready to go. I’ve learned its best to cut in bulk since its my least favourite part of the process; if I have a few projects ready to sew, I’m far more likely to find small blocks of time to work on them during the week.

Here’s what you’ve been up to.

Cute overalls from Meg; I have a dream pair in my head I have to get around to drafting.

Some great jeans recently; I am in love with these white Morgans from Sew Pomona, and Allie really nailed the fit on her Gingers.

Also from Allie (let’s be real, everything she makes is great): her take on the quilted McCalls jacket in leather.

Love love love this outfit from Helen’s Closet, and I really like her new cardigan pattern too.

Jenny pulls off art teacher chic.

You’d think a paper bag jumpsuit would be hard to wear; Mimi G makes it look easy.

This velvet dress from Beaute J’Adore is sooooo good.

Prettiest undies. Ever.

Adorable Carolyn Pajamas from Bobbin & Baste.

Another spectacular make from Oona – that fabric!!

Any Winnipeggers out there? I was really sad to hear Mitchell Fabrics was closing. My friend’s parents owned it for years and I still have a few vintage deadstock fabrics she got for me there. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop  by and say goodbye for me.
