Gutermann topstitching thread // Closet Core Patterns

Happy Sunday makers! Hope you’re also enjoying scarily unseasonal weather like I am in Maryland right now (here for a workshop, natch). I am so grateful to feel real sun on my face, but then I immediately feel guilty for enjoying global warming. Life is full of contradictions.

This week was a little crazy. We’ve been in denim kit packing franticness (we’re hoping to have everything out the door by next week), and right in the middle of it I somehow caught food poisoning. I ended up curled in the fetal position for 24 hours, praying the whole time I wasn’t actually dying. Clearly I’m alive, and I managed to zip through a season of the Office while I recovered, so I am telling myself my body just wanted to lay low for a few days and laugh at Dwight. Mission accomplished body! Here’s what you’ve been up to.

These overalls from Peneloping are just the best. I have a real plan for overalls but just need to find the time to draft them…

The Fadanista’s beach romper and Airstream trailer are giving me major envies.

I love the lace appliqué and FOE elastic on this pretty bralette from Made by Meg.

Hands down, favourite make of the week  from Diary of a Chainstitcher. I love this colour for evening wear. Always reminds me of that killer Atonement dress.

Lusting after this peach lace Harriet bra from the Tailor Made blog.

How great is Jen’s Four Winds Quilt? I love how clean and modern it is.

Bookmarking Norma’s tutorial for detachable bra straps. Such a clever construction method for hiding the fabric hooks!

I keep meaning to make a coat with thinsulate lining. Liesl’s beautiful blue coat looks SO COZY.

Oliver and S. Made their sewing translator an app. Such a great idea!

Great post from the Alabama Chanin Journal on indigo plants and dyeing.
