Happy Sunday makers! This week has been filled with personal sewing projects for me; I managed to finish all my handmade Christmas presents, along with a Watson Bra and pair of Carolyn pajamas, all while battling a cold that has now turned into a  sinus infection. Praying it starts clearing up before my flight on Tuesday or I will be curled up in the fetal position while my head explodes somewhere over the Atlantic. This will be the last weekly round-up until January – if you want to keep in touch while I’m away for the holidays, I’m sure I’ll be posting lots of pictures on Instagram.

Oh, and if you’re looking for a good listen this week, check out the latest Seamwork Radio episode. While I was in Portland this fall I had a chance to interview Project Runway winner Gretchen Jones; I think Sarai did a great job of molding that rambling 2 hour conversation into a tight little narrative about reality tv fame, the fashion design industry and the reality of being a confidant woman with an idiosyncratic voice. I also did a closet tour of some of Gretchen’s favourite pieces for Seamwork magazine if you’d like some visuals.


Adore By Gum By Golly’s Nancy Drew themed wrap dress; reminds me of the time I wrote an essay in university about Nancy Drew as early feminist icon.

The wedding dress reveal on Charity Shop Chic knocked my socks off this week. One word: whoa.
