After almost a year of production, this week we finally launched the Blanca Flight Suit! We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this beauty mostly because WE WANT TO WEAR THEM! We have sewn up our versions and were waiting to shoot them before we wrinkled/spilled food all over them and now we can finally show them off! Onesie dressing- which was probably a term used back when Miley Cyrus would wear a Unicorn snuggie on a plane or something- is really where my head is at right now. Boiler suits, coveralls, jumpsuits, whatever you want to call them, were all the rage pre-lockdown but as we are transitioning from pajamas back to real life they really seem like the secret weapon of getting dressed. There is no outfit to coordinate, no “look” to have to cook up. You grab one piece, you put it on, you’re done. The best part is, like all uniforms, you can put it back on the next day! With that being said, there are some nuances in all the ways you can not only design but wear your final piece. The Blanca Flight suit has two sleeves (short and long) as well as wrist and cuff tabs for easy tapering. There are also multiple belt options and a zipper placket you can style to suit your mood. She is a real workhorse since you can easily dress it up or down with a few accessories. I have pulled a bunch of inspo from the runways to RTW and even a few vintage options to get your wheels turning so let’s take a look…
Made up in denim or earth tone wovens the Blanca Flight Suit is an instant classic. Since it’s fairly fitted you can wear this version with sneakers or heels and always feel put together. This can go to work, out for drinks or grocery shopping and it always looks a little unexpected yet totally appropriate.
COOL & CASUAL
To max out on the casual factor you can size up for a slouchier version. Leave off the belt, throw on some sneakers, roll up the legs and sleeves…
ONE OF A KIND
Special details like a cuff tab, cute buttons or a standout print can take this flight suit from a uniform to a unique garment. We can’t wait to see the ways Blanca can be hacked into the jumpsuit of your dreams or the way just the fabric choice changes the feel of this look.
There are so many ways to accessorize your Blanca jumpsuit. Adding a turtleneck, special belt or fun heels dramatically shifts this from night to day and back again. Belt bags and blazers can take your suit into fall and when we get to travel again this is the kind of suit you can take everything with you and leave the purse at home.
How are you going to style Blanca?
